Rodrick Bamda, native Malawian is starting a new organisation called WHEAMS (Warm Heart Missions) whose goal is to raise up a community by bringing them proper nutrition and education. Long term they will be building a secondary school that also offers vocational training, a community garden to give the students healthy nutrition. This summer we are going to start a couple of smaller projects in the Community in Liwonde.The projects we hope to do while there are the following:
-Creating a community garden
-Digging a bole hole (water well)
-Training and giving start up money for small businesses
-Creating a feeding/nursery school project.
My sister is a documentary film artist so she will be coming with her filming equipment. She is currently in Lebanon filming a documentary for her Masters project. Her documentation is what i want to use to get the high school i am working at interested in getting involved. Maybe a long term partnership between schools.
